From Asolo to Venice through the rolling hills of Prosecco and Marca Gioiosa

Day 1

Arrival in Asolo, in a historical villa of the 17th century, a short walk from the centre of the village, along narrow lanes and arcades having the flavour of that times past. To expect, a magnificent terrace with views of the hills, for a welcome drink. On a clear day you can see in the distance Venice. During the evening, a brief about your stay and the dinner.

Day 2

You ride to Bassano del Grappa, a town of shops and craft workshops of ceramics and textiles in a up-and-down to rolling hills, passing through villages and towns rich of history. You cross the magnificent covered bridge designed by Andrea Palladio to come to a beautiful palladian villa, for a lunch among the vineyards or in the halls of residence.
To return to Asolo, begins the moment dedicated to relax: in the swimming pool, discovering the beautiful surroundings of the place, or ready for an aperitif in the piazzetta.

Day 3

From Asolo and Cison di Valmarino, through the Asolo hills on the road of the Castles, with a stop at Possagno to see the Canova Gypsotheque. And then, eastward, crossing the River Piave, Sacro alla Patria, ascending in the direction of Valdobbiadene, the heart of Prosecco, until we get to Cison, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, where you will be staying for the next two days. Along the route we will let you discover the best wine producers, visit their cellars, accompanied by the owners, who will speak about the territory during a tasting session accompanied by local delicacies.

Day 4

Starting from Cison Valmarino, we remain in the realm of Prosecco, immersed in the nature of the famous hills, a short distance from Cortina d’Ampezzo.
Roads, mountain trails and ancient muletracks will lead you to the villages, testimony to the centuries-old rural traditions: you will enjoy great  food at the taverns and coffee houses.

Day 5

On the way down the hills, we go through Marca Gioiosa and arrive at the Parco Naturale del Sile, an area of beautiful small towns overlooking the limpid waters of the River Sile. Finally, we arrive at Altino on the bank of the Lagoon, the cradle of Venice and the ancient Roman seaport. We then transfer aboard a characteristic local boat to explore two special placeson the Lagoon: the islands of Burano and Torcello, from which we can see Venice in the distance! Magical places that have preserved their age-old charm.

Day 6

As we pedal along the northern bank of the Lagoon of Venice, through the fishing valleys, orchards and huts of fishermen, the last and only stewards of ancient productive activities and traditions.
Along the way, in addition to the natural beauty of the landscape and its wildlife, you will discover the local restaurants where you can savour the products of the land and the sea.
In the evening, Torcello and Burano are waiting for you in their inns, or the famous gourmet restaurants, where Hemingway used to spend his evenings in Venice.

Day 7

Today you are not pedaling! We have planned for you a day dedicated to something unique before your departure: the discovery of the ancient traditions of fishing and hunting in an unspoiled paradise, and authentic from Venice and the Serenissima Republic of venice drew sustenance. At the discretion of the experience that includes learning to “rowing alla veneta” in a gondola, or catch a fish the old fashioned way and come into contact with the element that has made it a unique city in the world: the perfect combination between fresh and salt water.
